When I first envisioned Kaci Help, I asked myself: How do we build a system where people can speak their truth, seek help, and report issues that matter, without fear?

That question birthed two of the most important features on the app today: Consultation and iReport.

Both are designed to serve very different purposes, yet they share the same DNA: empowering people with choice, safety, and trust. And like our Beeps feature, these tools carry something special, the Anonymous option.

In this article, I’ll take you deep into how Consultation and iReport work, why anonymity matters, the steps required to use them effectively, and my personal vision for how they can transform communities across Africa and beyond.

The Seed Behind Consultation and iReport

Over the years, I’ve seen how people struggle silently because they don’t know where to turn. A young man battling addiction but too ashamed to speak to family. A woman facing domestic abuse but afraid of retaliation. A student confused about career choices. A worker witnessing inefficiency or corruption at their ministry but fearful of being blacklisted.

These are not “small” problems. They are everyday realities.

In 2014, I started experimenting with digital platforms to help people connect and share (Feb → Femond → Wuuf). In 2015, I built Ajuwaya for Nigerian corpers to exchange experiences and find jobs. In 2016, I created Kounsel, a relationship advice platform. In 2020, I built Zuri, a WhatsApp chatbot that verified news, sold power units, and more. Then in 2021, Factbeep,  a social aggregation platform.

All these apps were puzzle pieces. In 2022, I decided to bring them all into one. That became Kaci Help App, and from the start, I knew two features had to exist:

  • Consultation → a safe place to ask for advice from real agencies, professionals, and organizations.

  • iReport → a structured channel to report issues that affect communities, institutions, and governance.

And both had to respect anonymity, because sometimes, the only way people will speak up is when they know they can’t be traced.

What Consultation Really Means on Kaci

Let’s be clear: Consultation on Kaci isn’t about gossip or casual chat. It’s about seeking help and advice in areas that truly affect people’s lives.

Imagine this:

  • You’re struggling in your marriage and need professional counseling.

  • You’ve been bullied in school and want to know what steps to take.

  • You suspect a medical condition but feel embarrassed asking publicly.

  • You’re dealing with addiction, depression, or harassment.

Instead of bottling it up or taking risks with unverified “advice” on random social media groups, you can open Consultation on Kaci Help.

Here’s what happens:

  1. From the Home Page, click the Consultation button.

  2. Select your Location. This ensures you connect with agencies close to you.

  3. Choose the Agency under that location. (On Kaci, all public/private organizations, ministries, and MDAs are called Agencies).

  4. Tick the Submit Anonymously box if you don’t want the agency to see your identity.

    • This means: Your name, KSN (Kaci Security Number), phone number, and profile picture will be hidden.

    • The agency will only see the details of your request.

  5. Click Next on the top-right to move step by step through the request:

    • Subject of Consultation: A short title for your request.

    • Consultation Details: A fuller description of your issue.

    • Additional Info (Optional): Any extra notes.

    • Attach Files (Optional): Upload photos, documents, videos, or even record your voice if that helps.

  6. Finally, hit Submit and wait for the confirmation pop-up.

Once submitted, you can go to your Activity page to track your request and chat directly with the Agency.

What Makes Consultation Unique

Unlike random advice platforms, Kaci Consultation connects you to real agencies with a backend dashboard.

  • Agencies see requests, respond via live chat, and can follow up in real time.

  • You maintain control over how much of your identity is revealed.

  • If you’re subscribed, you unlock live chat, which makes conversations immediate and dynamic.

In short: Consultation isn’t just “posting and waiting.” It’s direct, structured, and secure communication with the right institutions.

iReport: Turning Observations Into Action

Now, let’s talk about iReport.

Where Consultation is personal (seeking advice), iReport is about accountability, making sure public and private organizations are aware of the issues that matter.

Think of it this way:

  • A road in your community is broken and causing accidents.

  • There’s inefficiency at a ministry office you’ve visited.

  • You notice suspicious activity that could pose a security risk.

  • Or you want to highlight poor service delivery at a public agency.

These are things most people rant about on social media, where they may or may not reach the right ears. But with iReport, your complaint goes into a structured channel with a target agency.

How iReport Works

  1. From the Home Page, click iReport.

  2. Select the Location of Occurrence. You can even tick Use My Current Location to fetch it via Google Maps.

  3. Tick Submit Anonymously if you don’t want your identity exposed.

  4. Click Next to go through the steps:

    • Date of Occurrence: Pick from the calendar.

    • Report Target Agency: Select the ministry, department, or organization responsible.

    • Subject of Report: A short title (e.g., “Collapsed bridge near X junction”).

    • Report Details: Explain clearly what happened and why it matters.

    • Attach Files (Optional): Add photos, videos, documents, or a voice note.

  5. Click Submit and wait for confirmation.

  6. Track your iReport in your Activity page and chat with the Agency if they respond.

Why iReport Matters

In many countries, citizens notice problems before governments do. A cracked bridge, an unsafe neighborhood, a failing water system. But because people don’t know how to report, or fear victimization, issues get swept under the rug.

With iReport, Kaci Help becomes a bridge between citizens and institutions.

  • Even when we don’t yet have partnerships with certain agencies, we still collect and analyze reports using AI breakdowns.

  • These insights are shared, making it harder for organizations to ignore what’s happening.

  • If agencies want more details, they can initiate a live chat with you, again, respecting your anonymity if you choose that option.

Anonymity: A Privilege, Not a Loophole

Now let’s talk about the Anonymous feature, because this is where trust lives or dies.

On both Consultation and iReport, anonymity works like this:

  • Agencies see your request without personal identifiers.

  • Your name, phone number, KSN, and profile photo remain hidden.

  • Only the content of your request is visible.

But here’s the fine print:

  • Anonymity is meant to protect, not to abuse.

  • Kaci can still trace submissions back to originating accounts in cases of fraud, abuse, or threats.

  • Misusing the feature (for slander, misinformation, or harassment) violates our Community Guidelines and may lead to suspension or a permanent ban.

In other words:
Use anonymity as a shield, not a weapon.

Terms of Use for Submitting Requests Anonymously

  1. Protection, not deception: Anonymity hides your identity from agencies, but not from Kaci in cases of misuse.

  2. No false reports: Submitting fake consultations or reports undermines trust and can lead to bans.

  3. No harassment: Anonymity isn’t a free pass for insults, threats, or defamation.

  4. Responsibility remains: You are still accountable for the accuracy and intent of your request.

  5. Respect agencies’ time: Submissions should be genuine, not spam or irrelevant content.

When respected, the anonymous feature becomes a lifeline. It gives the silenced a voice, the afraid courage, and the vulnerable a way to act without risk.

Final Thoughts: Why Consultation & iReport Complete the Vision

To me, these two features represent the heart of what I’ve been building since 2014:

  • Consultation gives individuals the courage to ask for help in areas that are deeply personal.

  • iReport gives communities the power to hold systems accountable.

  • Anonymity ensures that no one has to risk exposure in order to do the right thing.

Together, they create something rare: a platform where personal struggles and public accountability meet in a safe, trusted environment.

So whether you’re seeking advice on your marriage, reporting a bad road in your town, or flagging a case of workplace inefficiency, Kaci Help is your companion.

My hope is simple:
That every user who clicks “Submit Anonymously” feels safer, freer, and more empowered to share.

Because sometimes, the most important voices are the ones that would have stayed silent, until now.
