See. Snap. Report. Track. is a citizen-powered initiative designed to make it easier for people to identify, document and report issues affecting their communities.
Through Kaci Help, citizens can report incidents, hazards, emergencies and other community concerns using a simple process that connects observation with action. People can capture relevant evidence, attach the location, submit an iReport and continue to follow what happens after their report is made.
The project gives citizens a practical way to become active contributors to the wellbeing of their communities. Instead of simply seeing a problem and moving on, people can document what they observe and create a record that can help bring attention to issues that matter.

How it works
The process begins with seeing it. Citizens can identify incidents, hazards, emergencies or other concerns around them that may require attention.
They can then snap it by capturing relevant photographs or videos that help document what is happening. Where appropriate, location information can be attached to establish where the issue occurred.
The next step is to report it through an iReport on Kaci Help. The submitted information can provide a structured record of the concern, helping ensure that important details are not lost.
After submission, citizens can track it and receive updates as the situation progresses. This creates a reporting process that does not necessarily end when a report is submitted. Instead, citizens can remain informed about developments connected to the issue they reported.
Privacy is also an important part of the initiative. Responsible reporting practices and appropriate privacy safeguards can help protect citizens while allowing useful community information to be collected and acted upon.
Why we chose it
Communities experience countless problems every day, from hazards and infrastructure concerns to emergencies and other incidents that may affect people’s safety and wellbeing. Yet many of these issues go unreported because people may not know where to report them, may find existing processes difficult or may never know what happened after submitting a complaint.
We chose this project because citizens are often the first people to see what is happening around them. Giving them a simple way to document and report issues can help turn everyday observations into useful community information.
The initiative also emphasizes follow-up and transparency. Reporting an issue should not always feel like sending information into a void. By enabling citizens to track reports and receive updates, Kaci Help can create a stronger connection between the person who reports an issue and the information that develops afterward.
Over time, citizen-generated reports can also contribute to a broader understanding of recurring community concerns, helping identify patterns and areas that may require greater attention.
